We’re eager for the Nothing Phone 3 to surface in the next few months, and some of the headline specifications have just leaked, which gives us a better sense of what to anticipate by way of the phone’s chipset, its camera arrangement, and its battery.
Smartprix said the phone is going to have a “flagship Snapdragon chipset” from Qualcomm, though it doesn’t specify the exact chipset. It may well be the Snapdragon 8s Elite, or the newer Snapdragon 8s Gen 4.
Speaking of the camera system, it seems we’re in for a ”dramatically” reworked camera system, one that could be built around a triple-lens module on the rear of the phone. That will mean a “large primary sensor” and a periscope telephoto lens (which could be even bigger).

Finally, Smartprix’s sources confirm that the battery capacity will “probably” even surpass the 5,000 mAh threshold. Nothing Phone 2, released in July 2023, arrived with a 4,700 mAh capacity battery inside.
Just a few days ago we saw an official video of the Nothing CEO, Carl Pei, telling us that the company’s highly-anticipated new flagship phone would feature “premium materials, major performance upgrades, and software that truly levels up”.
Keep in mind that the phone was pushed back from a 2024 release date so that Nothing could nail the software. We’re anticipating a heavy dose of AI magic, too, and it seems designed to take on rival offerings like Galaxy AI and Apple Intelligence from the competition.

As for the Nothing Phone 3, we haven’t heard a whole lot yet in terms of leaks, rumors or official announcements other than it is coming. On paper, and according to this leak, that seems like it will make it one of the best Android phones of the year.
Nothing has already released two phones this year in the form of the Nothing Phone 3a and the Nothing Phone 3a Pro mid-rangers. We’ll pass this information along to you as soon as the next phone from the company goes official.
